To be eligible for this award, applicants must:

  • Be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or Protected Person.
  • Be an entering undergraduate student enrolling in one of the following programs: Nursing, Midwifery, Social Work, Social Work Advanced Standing Direct Entry, Public Health, or Nutrition.
  • Have achieved a minimum final admission average of 86%. Applicants to Social Work Advanced Standing must have achieved a minimum final admission GPA of 3.0.
  • Demonstrate financial need as determined by the university.
  • Be enrolled full-time

The McCall MacBain Community Health Awards at TMU provide financial assistance to high-potential students from lower socioeconomic backgrounds pursuing undergraduate baccalaureate or advanced and post-baccalaureate programs in the Faculty of Community Services in Nursing, Midwifery, Social Work, Public Health and Nutrition.
