Intend to Apply for OSAP?
The Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) is a financial aid program funded by both the provincial and federal governments that helps you with the costs of postsecondary education.
Funding through OSAP includes:
- Grants – money that you don’t have to repay.
- Loans – money that you will have to repay when you are finished school.
OSAP considers many different factors when determining how much financial assistance you may receive, including:
- Your educational costs (tuition, fees, books, supplies, equipment, personal living expenses, etc.).
- The financial resources you have available to contribute towards your own postsecondary education (family income, savings, scholarships, etc.).

OSAP Information for Indigenous Applicants
Even with community funding, scholarships and bursaries, Indigenous applicants may wish to apply to the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP).
OSAP is a government financial aid program that can provide eligible applicants with student loans and grants to help pay for postsecondary education, and is based on financial need. The student loans are interest-free until 6 months after graduation from university.
