Subjects of Major Interest
A subject of major interest is a specialization within a general degree program.
For example, a university might have a degree called "Arts", but through that program, you could potentially study several subjects of major interest, including History, Drama, Economics, English, French, Sociology, Philosophy, etc.
Usually, you will be asked to choose your "subject of major interest" when you apply.

Successfully completed at least six 4U or 4M level courses with a minimum grade of 70%;

Obtained a minimum grade of 70% in the following prerequisite course: FRA4U or FIF4U; and

Completed a minimum of 3 years of study at a secondary school where French is the primary language of instruction.

Additional Admission Criteria
Students who have not completed at least 3 years of study in a French-language secondary school must submit proof of French-language proficiency. For the Bachelor of Education Concurrent Program (B.A.-B.Éd.), a Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française (DALF) at the C1 level is required.

UOF Admission Criteria:

Successfully completed at least six 4U or 4M level courses with a minimum grade of 70%.

Obtained a minimum grade of 70% in the following prerequisite course: FRA4U, FEF4U or FIF4U.

Completed a minimum of 3 years of study at a secondary school where French is the primary language of instruction.
- Secondary school diploma from a recognized institution in Ontario or the equivalent education according to the province or country in which the diploma was completed.

- 150-credit Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. + B.Ed.)
- Courses are delivered in both online and in-person formats.
- Practicum placements must be completed in a French-language school in Ontario.
- This program prepares future teachers for the Primary–Junior cycle (Kindergarten to Grade 6).
