Program News and Changes
New! Bachelor of Social Work
The Université de l’Ontario français is proud to launch (as of July 2026) its new Bachelor of Social Work, designed to prepare the next generation of professionals to support individuals, families and communities.
Delivered entirely in French, this 4-year program combines strong academic training with 700 hours of supervised field placements, equipping students with the knowledge and practical experience needed to address today's social challenges.

Scholarships and Awards
Most universities offer scholarships. Unlike a loan, which you must pay back, you do not need to pay back a scholarship. Universities award scholarships based on:
- academic merit,
- financial need,
- extracurricular activities and/or
- other distinctions.
You can apply for some scholarships and may be automatically considered for others.
University Events
Universities host events like open houses, campus tours, Student for a Day programs, and virtual tours to help you explore what student life is really like. These events are a great way to experience the campus, connect with current students and faculty, and get a feel for whether a university is the right fit for you.
Offers of Admission
UOF Admission Criteria:

Successfully completed at least six 4U or 4M level courses with a minimum grade of 70%.

Obtained a minimum grade of 70% in the following prerequisite course: FRA4U, FEF4U or FIF4U.

Completed a minimum of 3 years of study at a secondary school where French is the primary language of instruction.
- Secondary school diploma from a recognized institution in Ontario or the equivalent education according to the province or country in which the diploma was completed.
Extenuating Circumstances
If you have extenuating circumstances that you wish to bring to the attention of the admission service, you can describe them in an email. The university will analyze the submission and determine whether the described conditions will be considered.

Residences and Meal Plans
Residence Price(s)
Approximately $1,400 per month, for a 12-month lease.
Room Types
The residence is suite-style, meaning the bathroom and living room are common areas. The options of suites are from 1 single bedroom suites to 4 single bedrooms suites. Suites are fully furnished.
Amenities
Electricity, heating, and internet are included.
Gym is included with a female-only fitness room.
Room furniture included.
On-site laundry facility.
Meal plan is required, but the cafeteria is on-site.
Building includes common rooms and terraces.
Residence Guarantee
Parkside Residence operates on a first-come, first-served basis; however, many spots are reserved for UOF students to meet the demand.
Deposit Required
A deposit equivalent to the last month's rent is required for reserving a room at Parkside.
Meal Plans
Meal plans are required to use the cafeteria at Parkside and cost approximately $825 per month. Lunches to-go and meals suitable for various dietary preferences are available.
