Hands-on Learning Opportunities for Career Success
Experiential Education
Experiential Education (EE) is the application of theory to real-life situations, such as work placements, lab research, community-based learning, field trips, role playing and more. These experiences are designed to help you use the theories learned in class and apply them in practice.
You will develop key career skills and prepare for the workforce, whether through volunteer and work opportunities on campus, workshops or by joining student-run clubs and organizations. You can complete a work placement in a new industry or workplace of interest, regardless of the program of study, while gaining credits towards the degree requirements.
New Inquiry-Based Projects Incubator
Our Inquiry-Based Projects Incubator, also known as G21, is a series of activities designed to foster students who want to experiment and be prepared to solve some of the complex problems of tomorrow. Your ideas will be fueled by passion, aesthetics and ethics, and you will be challenged to think differently and bring new ideas to the table.
Top Scholars
Our Top Scholars community celebrates incoming high school students of the highest calibre who reaffirm our long history of academic excellence. Select Top Scholars can participate in the Research Apprenticeship Program and can conduct hands-on research with a professor starting in the first year.
The Glendon Digital Media Lab
The Glendon Digital Media Lab provides students access to technological and pedagogical resources. It supports hands-on work in Glendon courses and students’ extracurricular projects allowing them to pursue their passion.
Personalized Experience: Big university, intimate campus
Helping and supporting each other is what makes Glendon so special.
We offer a personalized experience where you really matter – small classes, many support programs and student services dedicated to your success. You will meet other students, staff and faculty members who will provide you with the safe and nurturing environment you need to succeed, both academically and professionally. It is in our nature.
As a new Glendon student, you will receive personalized support from our Academic Advising team to chart an academic path that is right for you. Once you have accepted your offer of admission, you can book an enrolment appointment where you will get your first glimpse of life as a Glendon student.
You will also be paired with a student mentor who can offer support and tips as you navigate your first year. This commitment to student service excellence continues past first year and beyond graduation.
Develop Your Language Advantage
At Glendon, you develop your language and cross-cultural skills. You don’t need to speak French or be bilingual to start studying at Glendon. In most of our programs, knowledge of either English or French is all it takes. We offer an immersive language-learning experience with many support resources.
