Schulich Masters Pathway

Step straight into a one-year Masters program at the Schulich School of Business, Canada’s top-ranked business school, immediately after completing your 4-year BA or BSc program. The Schulich Masters Pathway (SMP) offers undergraduate students a conditional offer of admission into the following Masters programs: Management, Supply Chain Management or Health Industry Administration.

Note: Students who are studying Business Economics, Economics, and the Dual Degree are not eligible for the SMP.

Scholarships and Awards

Most universities offer scholarships. Unlike having to pay back a loan, you do not need to pay back a scholarship. Universities award scholarships based on academic merit, financial need, extracurricular activities and other distinctions.

You can apply for some scholarships and may be automatically considered for others.

Offers of Admission

Basic Requirements for Admission

The Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and six 4U/M/DU courses, including 4U English, are required. Francophone applicants can present 4U French instead of 4U English.

In addition to the successful completion of the above requirements, you must also complete any required prerequisites for your program, and maintain the average used for conditional admission.

Note: Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission to the university.

Failed and Repeated Courses

Failed courses will be considered. Admissions will review the course with the highest grade.

Repeated courses are accepted. Admissions will consider the course with the highest grade, which may not necessarily be the most recently taken course.

Timing and Process for Admission Decisions

After applying to the undergraduate program, you will receive an acknowledgement email from York with your York University student number. The email will be sent within 2 business days of receiving your application. You can use your student number to log into York's applicant portal MyFile to track your application status.

York will begin assessing applicants and may make conditional offers of admission as applications are received. At all points in the process, you are encouraged to present as strong an academic profile as possible. It usually takes 4 to 8 weeks for your application to be processed and for a decision to be made.

York will consider 3U/M/DU courses for initial admission purposes. You may be considered for alternative programs if you do not meet the admission requirements of your original choice or if your original program choice is full.

Extenuating Circumstances

If you believe your academic record may not meet the minimum admission requirements for your program of choice, we invite you to submit an explanation of unexpected events or barriers that may have impacted your academic performance.  Your submission will be reviewed if you do not meet the minimum admission requirements.

Career Development Centre

We are here to support you throughout your professional journey. The Career Development Centre helps students and recent graduates navigate skills development and career exploration by way of one-on-one appointments, workshops and recruitment opportunities.

ESL Open Learning Centre

The ESL Open Learning Centre offers free one-on-one or small group sessions for Glendon students. You’ll have the opportunity to improve your listening, reading, writing and speaking skills alongside a friendly, experienced language facilitator.

Glendon Athletic Club

Give your brain a rest as you work out your body. As a student, staff or faculty, alumni or community member of Glendon, you have access to our 55,000 square foot, full-use fitness facility.

Glendon Digital Media Lab

The Glendon Digital Media Lab (GDML) has the spaces, training and latest tools you need to enhance your course and extracurricular work. Besides access to cameras, microphones, voice recorders, GoPros and more, the Digital Media Lab offers high-performance computers loaded with editing software, a 3D printer, as well as video tutorials and how-to workshops, and peer mentoring with the Glendon Digital Media Club.

Security Services

The Community Safety Department's Security Services is committed to keeping York University campuses safe for everyone. All of the Security Services personnel are trained to a high professional standard to ensure your safety and to deal with any incidents that may occur.

Residences and Meal Plans

Residence Price(s)

$7,321 and up

Room Types

Dormitory-style residence. 90% of room assignments are single occupancy. Buildings are co-ed with female-only floors available.

Amenities

Rooms are furnished with a single-sized bed, lamp, desk, chair, dresser, garbage/recycling bin and closet.
Rooms are also equipped with wireless high-speed internet access. A local area network gives you access to the software applications from the computer labs right in your room.
Students can subscribe to cable TV for an additional fee.
Wheelchair-accessible rooms are available.
Each building offers laundry rooms, a music room, a study room and TV lounges with common kitchenettes.
Residence dons live in each building.
Rental services are available at lobby reception for irons, vacuums, games, and pool and ping-pong equipment.
Kitchen facilities are available for students with strict dietary requirements.
Bilingual community provides students with the opportunity to improve their French- or English-language skills.

Residence Guarantee

A spot in the residence is guaranteed for students who are admitted in first year, straight after having finished their full-time high school studies as long as they submit their request by June 1. The guaranteed residence offers will be sent starting mid-June.

Deposit Required

A $500 non-refundable room reservation deposit must be paid directly to your Student Account to confirm your acceptance of your room offer. The room deposit will be deducted from your room charge.

Meal Plans

Students are required to purchase a meal plan. The residence meal plan (4 options between $4,250 – $5,750) runs on a declining balance system at the campus dining hall and food retailers at both campuses.
