- Students must apply to the National Scholarship Program to be considered for the Arbor Scholarship.
- Only National Book Award nominees are eligible to apply.
- Each year, approximately 10 students will be named National Scholars (winners) and approximately 15 students will be named Arbor Scholars (runners-up).
