- Be admitted for the first time in an undergraduate program taught in French at the University of Ottawa.
- Be an Ontario resident, as per OSAP rules.
- Demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Financial Aid and Awards Service of the University of Ottawa.
- Demonstrate academic excellence.
- Demonstrate involvement in the Francophone community.
- Have completed his/her secondary studies in Northern Ontario (regions north and west of North Bay, inclusively).
