- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, a person with protected or refugee status, or an international student.
- Be admitted as a new full-time first year undergraduate student to the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Ottawa.
- Be a racialized person (member of a visible minority) and defined as a person other than Indigenous (Aboriginal), who is non-white in colour or race, regardless of place of birth or citizenship; OR provide documented proof of Indigenous identity, in accordance with the requirements of the University of Ottawa Eligibility for Focused Admissions, Scholarships, and Bursaries for First Nations, Inuit, and Métis People administrative procedure; OR be involved in the LGBTQ2+ community; OR be a woman; OR be a student with disabilities.
- Be involved in or demonstrate leadership in the community service.
- Demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Financial Aid and Awards Office.
- Demonstrate academic excellence (admission average higher than 92.0 %).
Additional Information
- Complete the Financial Questionnaire.
- Write a letter (500 words max.) describing the applicant’s involvement in their community or demonstrate their leadership in engineering; and
- Provide a documented proof of Indigenous identity, in accordance with the requirements of the University of Ottawa Eligibility for Focused Admissions, Scholarships, and Bursaries for First Nations, Inuit, and Métis People administrative procedure.
