Presented to 2 full-time students who have been employed within the mining sector or who are the children of a mining sector employee.
The recipients must have a strong academic record (minimum 75%), demonstrate involvement in extracurricular activities and financial need. Past recipients of the award may reapply for a second award. The recipient must also be an Ontario resident as defined by OSAP.
