Additional Information
This is an endowed scholarship and was established through a generous bequest from Rev. Erich Schultz (BA '51, B.D. '57). Rev. Schultz received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1951 and a Bachelor of Divinity degree in 1957 from Waterloo College, as Laurier was then known.
He joined Waterloo Lutheran University as Librarian in 1960, serving until 1991, and was the Archivist of the Easter Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada for 49 years. His interests ranged from theology to music and he was especially supportive of the library and the needs of students. Upon his death in 2010, he left several bequests to Laurier, including one to support student excellence in the Faculty of Music.
