Open to graduates of Waterloo-Oxford District Secondary School (WODSS) who demonstrate financial need. In the absence of eligible applicants from WODSS, applicants from other high schools within the Waterloo Region District School Board will be considered. Preference will be given to applicants who are entering the Kinesiology and Physical Education program (full time, year 1) at Wilfrid Laurier University. Applicants must show significant involvement in extracurricular activities (participation in a varsity sport will be given preference) and provide solid examples of student leadership experiences. Recipient must demonstrate financial need, be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident (landed immigrant) or protected person, and a long-term resident of Ontario.

This is an endowed award, established in memory of Megan Keenan '01 and Tyler Schmidt '01 by their family and friends and will be given to a student that most exemplifies the qualities of life these 2 people possessed.
