The Toronto Star has established this award in honour of its Chair, Beland Honderich, to encourage deserving high school students to pursue a university education.
If you are in your final year at James Cardinal McGuigan Secondary School, C.W. Jefferys Secondary School, Emery Collegiate Institute or Westview Centennial Secondary School, you will be chosen by the schools. The award includes a summer job at the Toronto Star at the end of your first year.
