Basic Requirements for Admission

Admission average: You will be considered for admission with an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (or equivalent) and an admission average calculated using your top 6 4U/M courses (or equivalent), including subject requirements. This average is calculated using the most current grade data available to us through the admission process.

Estimated cut-off admission ranges: The estimated cut-off range for all of our honours undergraduate programs is 70–75%. It is based on the admission averages from previous years, and is provided only as a point of reference. Exact cut-offs for the current cycle will be determined by the quantity and quality of applications received and the number of places available in the respective program. Possession of an admission average within the estimated cut-off range does not guarantee an offer of admission.

Offers of admission: Offers are sent on an ongoing basis from December until the end of May, and applicants are assessed throughout those months. All domestic applicants will receive an admission decision by May 28, 2027. Your final grades, once received, must fulfill the conditions of your offer.

Student Profile (SP): The Student Profile offers you an opportunity to tell us about factors that may have impacted your grades. You are encouraged to complete the profile if your average is within a discretionary range of the determined cut-off (within 5%).  Profiles must be completed on our website and are due April 1, 2027. Optional to complete.

Supplementary Information Form for Students with Disabilities (SIF-D): If you identify as a student with disabilities and your admission average does not meet the cut-off for the program to which you have applied, your SIF-D may be considered if your average is within a discretionary range of the determined cut-off (within 5%). Profiles must be completed on our website and are due April 1, 2027. Optional to complete.

If you apply to more than 1 program at the University of Guelph-Humber and you have never attended postsecondary studies, you will be considered for all programs you apply for.

If you are a transfer applicant (i.e., have attended any postsecondary institution) and you apply to more than 1 program at the University of Guelph-Humber, you can expect to receive only 1 offer of admission from the University. The highest-ranked choice will be considered first. Only if you are not admissible to your highest choice will your next choice be considered. If you want to reorder your University of Guelph-Humber program rankings, please amend your application on the OUAC website.

Failed and Repeated Courses

The University of Guelph-Humber will use the highest grade reported for grade 12 courses taken at a Ministry-approved school prior to June 2027, regardless of format.

Timing and Process for Admission Decisions

Timing of offers (December to end of May) and the grades considered for each round of offers are described below.

December to Late February

We use your top 6 completed 4U/M (or equivalent) courses, including required subjects. Where not available, we use a combination of the top 6 completed or in-progress 4U/M and completed 3U/M courses, including required subjects. Should no 4U/M courses be completed or in-progress, the top 6 3U/M completed courses (including required subjects) will be used.

Offers in this round are typically made to applicants whose admission average exceeds the estimated cut-off.

Early March to Mid-May

We use your top 6 completed 4U/M (or equivalent) courses, including required subjects. Where not available, we use a combination of the top 6 completed or in-progress 4U/M and completed 3U/M courses, including required subjects.

Early March to late April offers are typically made to applicants whose admission average is near the top of the estimated cut-off range or above.

Mid-May offers are typically made to applicants whose admission average is within or above the estimated cut-off range.
