Médecine

U of T offers a 4-year program leading to an MD degree. Three years of undergraduate study at a Canadian university are required. Academic prerequisites include 2 full-course equivalents in life sciences and 1 full-course equivalent in humanities, social sciences or languages. MCAT is required.

Dentistry

University of Toronto

Professionnel

U of T offers a 4-year program leading to a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Three years of university education (at least 15 full-year courses) required. Academic prerequisites include 1 full-year or 2 half-year courses in general biochemistry, 1 full-year or 2 half-year courses in general mammalian physiology, 2 additional full-year or 4 half-year courses in life sciences and 1 full-year or 2 half-year courses in humanities or social sciences. Students are also required to have a minimum GPA of 3.0

Candidates also must submit Canadian Dental Aptitude Test (DAT) scores.

Droit – Common Law

University of Toronto

Three-year program leading to a bachelor of law JD (Juris Doctor) degree. Three years of undergraduate study are required; however, almost all admitted students have completed a 4-year undergraduate degree. There are no required academic prerequisite courses. LSAT is required.

Most successful applicants present an "A-" or higher on their best 3, full-time undergraduate years of study.

Education

U of T offers 2-year programs leading to a Master of Education (MEd), Master of Teaching (MT) or Master of Arts in Child Study and Education (MA CSE) degree.

An undergraduate degree is required. Preference is given to those who have attained a high academic average in a 4-year degree program and to those with relevant experience.

Medical Radiation Sciences

University of Toronto

Premier cycle

Jointly offered by the Temerty Faculty of Medicine and The Michener Institute of Education at UHN, U of T offers a 3-year (8 consecutive semesters) program leading to a BSc and Advanced Diploma. Applicants may choose Nuclear Medicine & Molecular Imaging Technology, Radiation Therapy or Radiological Technology.
One year of undergraduate study (5.0 full-course equivalents) is required. Academic prerequisites include a cumulative GPA of at least 2.7, including 1 half-credit course in Biology, Mathematics, Physics and Social Science.

Nursing

University of Toronto

U of T offers a 2-year program leading to a BScN degree. Two years of undergraduate study with 10 university full-course equivalents are required. Academic prerequisites include:

  • 1.0 credit in Human Physiology OR 0.5 credit in Human Physiology + 0.5 credit in Human Anatomy
  • 0.5 credit in Statistics
  • 1.0 credit in Life Sciences or Physical Sciences
  • 1.0 credit in Social Sciences
  • 1.0 credit in Humanities

Most successful applicants have "B+" average or higher in final year of university study.

*Please be aware that we anticipate that completion of a 0.5 credit course in microbiology will be a prerequisite for the BScN program for the September 2025 intake and onward. Applications for September 2025 intake will open in the Fall of 2024. This anticipated change will not impact students applying for the September 2024 intake.

Pharmacy

U of T offers a 4-year program leading to a PharmD (Doctor of Pharmacy) degree. Normally, 2 years of undergraduate study are required to meet academic admission requirements.

University-level subject requirements include: 1.0 FCE (full-credit equivalent) Biology; 1.5 FCEs Chemistry; 1.0 FCE Math (including minimum of 0.5 FCE Calculus); and 1.0 FCE Humanities/Social Science. A minimum total of 8 FCEs must be completed at the university level.

Other requirements include the Casper test (situational-judgement test) and an Individual Assessment (which will include asynchronous video-based questions, as well as written and multiple-choice questions) completed through an online platform.

Physician Assistant

University of Toronto

U of T offers a 2-year (24 consecutive months) program leading to a BScPA. Two years of undergraduate study with 10 university full-course equivalents are required.

Academic prerequisites include a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on the OMSAS 4.0 scale. A full-year postsecondary course in each of Human Anatomy and Human Physiology is preferred. Additional academic and non-academic requirements are available on the program website.

A minimum of 350 healthcare experience hours is required.
