- Be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident or a person with the protected/refugee status.
- Be admitted through the Declaration of Personal Experience (DPE) into one of the following faculties at the University of Ottawa: Arts, Civil Law, Engineering, Health Sciences, Science, Social Sciences, Telfer School of Management.
- Register as a full-time student for the first time in an undergraduate program.
- Have completed the Declaration of Personal Experience.
