Eligible candidates are full-time undergraduate students who have received an offer of admission to the first year of a program in the Faculty of Music. Candidates must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents and demonstrate financial need. Candidates must be recommended, or strongly recommended, for admission to the program, based on their performance audition. The award will be granted to the eligible candidate who demonstrates financial need and is nominated by the Dean of the Faculty of Music based on their performance audition.
Additional Information
The award is renewable in years 2, 3 and 4 of the same academic program provided the recipient maintains full-time registration in the eligible program and meets all academic program requirements.
This is an annual award; the Colwyn Rich Foundation was established in 1986 as the Champlain Industries Educational Foundation to provide scholarships and bursaries to worthy students. The intent of the Foundation in creating this award is to help a student succeed in their chosen profession and that finances should not be a deterrent to that success.
