Located in north Toronto, our Keele Campus is a dynamic hub, home to academic and athletic facilities, residences and student service locations. It is directly accessible to downtown Toronto via 2 campus subway stations and offers a large-scale, flexible campus experience.

York University Announces Plans for School of Medicine
York University is moving forward with plans to establish a new School of Medicine. With the Government of Ontario’s announcement to support further development and planning for a new school, we are accelerating the pace to new medical doctor programs in the fastest growing region in Ontario.
The community will be our campus. Founded on a patient-centred, community-based approach, we envision a school that will prepare the next generation of primary care physicians—trained to leverage the most recent digital health technologies and to work collaboratively within inter-professional health care teams at diverse learning sites.

Basic Requirements for Admission
York gives admission consideration to applicants who successfully present academic credentials earned at recognized/accredited institutions around the world.
For Ontario high school students, the minimum admission requirement is the completion of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent and six 4U/M courses, including ENG4U. Students may also be required to fulfill Faculty or program-specific prerequisites. Francophone applicants may present FRA4U for applicable French programs.
In addition to the successful completion of the above requiements, you must also complete any required prerequisites for your program, and maintain the average used for conditional admission.
Note: Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission to the university.
A review of an applicant’s holistic academic profile, from high school to the present, is undertaken when making admission decisions. Possession of the minimum requirements or admission average ranges that are listed online or within university publications should not be viewed as a guarantee of admission.
When making holistic assessments, we may consider a variety of aspects, including consistency of academic results over multiple years, results in specific course prerequisites, repeated course attempts and external test scores.
Certain programs may also require supplemental materials or activities (e.g., portfolio review) and generally, transcripts showing complete high school and postsecondary attendance will be required.
Failed and Repeated Courses
York’s policy on repeated courses: Repeated courses are accepted. Admissions will consider the course with the highest grade, which may not necessarily be the most recently taken course. The Schulich School of Business reserves the right to review each situation on an individual basis.

Timing and Process for Admission Decisions
After applying to the undergraduate program, you will receive an acknowledgement email from York with your York University student number. The acknowledgement email will be sent within 2 business days of receiving your application. You can use your student number to log into York's applicant portal MyFile to track your application status.
York will begin assessing applicants and may make conditional offers of admission as applications are received. Application processing times vary depending on the application type. It usually takes 4 to 8 weeks for your application to be processed and for a decision to be made.
York will consider 3U/M courses for initial admission purposes. Qualified applicants may be considered for alternative programs in cases where they do not meet the admission requirements of their original choice, or where their original program choice has filled.

Black Excellence at York University (BE YU)
BE YU provides Black students with supports to transition to university and maximize their student experience on the path to graduation. BE YU offers the following services: Mentorship, professional development workshops, professional opportunities and scholarships, financial literacy workshops and social events.
The success of Black students is our focus. We work hand-in-hand with campus partners and the York community to offer workshops, events, activities and services aimed at enhancing the Black student experience. BE YU also connects students with student-led clubs and associations, faculty, staff and services that promote Black excellence, a sense of community and connection.

The Co-op Advantage

Community Safety works closely with other departments and community partners to maintain safe and inclusive campuses through a variety of progarms and services.
goSAFE
goSAFE teams accompany York community members to and from any on-campus location, such as the Village Shuttle pick-up hub, parking lots, bus stops or residences. They will strive to meet you at your pick-up location within 10 minutes of your call and will gladly wait with you until your bus or transportation arrives or your car starts. Please note that children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
YorkU Safety App
Designed for York U students, faculty and staff, this free app provides one-stop access to all of the University’s safety resources, including a direct call to campus security and goSAFE, and information regarding the campus shuttle and other campus safety-related services.
Push notifications and the safety alert feature allow York University to communicate campus emergencies directly and immediately with users.
Blue Light Emergency Phones
Connect directly with Security or goSAFE using one of the Blue Light Emergency Phones located across campus. They are equipped with a blue light that flashes to make them highly noticeable when activated. Interactive maps of the Glendon and Keele campuses are available that include emergency phone locations.
Student Accessibility Services (SAS)
Student Accessibility Services provides support and accommodations to students living with mental health, physical, sensory, medical and/or learning disabilities (who might have had an individualized education plan in high school).

Student Counselling, Health & Well-being (SCHW)
Our dynamic team of health care professionals, peer health educators and support staff collaborate to provide a range of health and well-being services that foster academic success, student development and an engaged community at York University. Our primary aim is to support you in realizing and developing your personal potential, while managing the demands and changes that come with university life.
Student Counselling, Health & Well-being offers single session walk-in counselling, short-term counselling, health and wellbeing programming and workshops, support groups and community referrals.

Types de chambre
There are 10 undergraduate residence buildings: 8 at the Keele Campus and 2 at the Glendon Campus, each with approximately 250 students.
Most residences are traditional-style buildings and include double and single room options with shared common washrooms and lounge areas that are designed for first-year students.
There are limited suite-style residences (typically shared by 2-6 students) with in-suite kitchens and shared washrooms; these are a preferred option for upper-year students who want to live in smaller groups, have an optional Meal Plan and share amenities.
York residences offer mixed and single-gender options. Adapted and wheelchair-accessible rooms are also available within most of the undergraduate buildings but must be requested on the application and registered with Student Accessibility Services.

Commodités
Rooms are furnished with a twin bed, desk, chair, dresser, garbage bin and lamp. Wired and wireless high-speed Internet access is available in all rooms. Students can subscribe to cable TV and phone services for an additional fee.

First-year, full-time students are guaranteed a residence offer if they are admitted for the fall session directly from high school and they apply by June 1, 2026.
The 2026-27 Residence Application will be made available on our Housing website in February 2026.

A $500 non-refundable Room Offer deposit must be paid online using a credit or Visa debit card to confirm your acceptance of your room offer. Your deposit is not an additional charge and will be deducted from your room fees after you move in.

Students living in York Univeristy Residence accommodations where Dining Plans are mandatory, can select one of the Dining Plans below, priced from $3,000 - $6,950, depending on plan specifications and preferences. Students living in suite-style accommodations with kitchens may optionally purchase any of our Dining Plans.
