Domaines d'intérêt principal
Un domaine d’intérêt est une majeure ou spécialisation dans le cadre d’un programme général menant à un grade.
Par exemple, l’université peut proposer un grade appelé « Arts ». Toutefois, il vous serait possible de faire, par le biais d’un tel programme, des études dans un certain nombre de domaines d’intérêts (histoire, théâtre, économie, anglais, français, sociologie, philosophie, etc.).
En règle générale l’on vous demandera d’indiquer votre domaine d’intérêt donnant droit à une majeure au moment de faire demande au programme.
Les principaux sujets d'intérêt de ce programme sont les suivants :

- Sans spécialisation

- ENG4U with a minimum of 60%
- A 4U math is recommended
Available only as a joint-major at the Honours level.
Admission
Basic Requirements for Admission (Required for All Programs)
You must complete the requirements for the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). A minimum average of 70% is required for consideration for admission. A minimum grade of 60% must be obtained in ENG4U. You must present a minimum of six 4U/M courses to be considered for admission.
Note: Some programs may have higher average and supplementary application requirements. Some programs may also require a minimum number of 4U/M courses.
Failed and Repeated Courses
If you repeat a course, the highest of the 2 grades will be used in the admission average calculation, if applicable.
Timing and Process for Admission Decisions
For full-time enrollment beginning in September, Trent University expects to send offers of admission on an ongoing basis starting in January.
You must complete or be registered in six 4U/M courses. Admission decisions will be made using grades from a minimum of 3 final 4U/M courses if you are in a semestered school, or 6 interim 4U/M courses if you are in a non-semestered school.
Grade 11 grades may be used to extend an early offer of admission when sufficient 4U/M grades are not available. All offers of admission are conditional, pending the successful completion of all OSSD requirements and prerequisites with satisfactory academic standing.

Trent is the only university in Canada to offer you the chance to combine your study of forensics with one of several different academic disciplines across the sciences. No matter what your forensic career ambitions are, you have plenty of options at Trent. Are you drawn to the sciences, but are unsure which program you should apply to? The Honours Science path at Trent is geared towards students like you, who want to explore a few different areas of study before declaring a major or joint major in second year. By studying Forensic Science at Trent, you'll learn the foundational science of forensics through the study of anthropology, biology and chemistry, along with uniquely specialized forensics courses. As a graduate of this advanced program, you'll apply your skills to uncover evidence recovered at crime scenes, draw impartial conclusions based on physical evidence, and present and defend these findings using your foundational knowledge in science.
