Domaines d'intérêt principal
Un domaine d’intérêt est une majeure ou spécialisation dans le cadre d’un programme général menant à un grade.
Par exemple, l’université peut proposer un grade appelé « Arts ». Toutefois, il vous serait possible de faire, par le biais d’un tel programme, des études dans un certain nombre de domaines d’intérêts (histoire, théâtre, économie, anglais, français, sociologie, philosophie, etc.).
En règle générale l’on vous demandera d’indiquer votre domaine d’intérêt donnant droit à une majeure au moment de faire demande au programme.
Les principaux sujets d'intérêt de ce programme sont les suivants :

Basic Requirements for Admission (Required for All Programs)
You must complete the requirements for the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). A minimum average of 70% is required for consideration for admission. A minimum grade of 60% must be obtained in ENG4U. You must present a minimum of six 4U/M courses to be considered for admission.
Note: Some programs may have higher average and supplementary application requirements. Some programs may also require a minimum number of 4U courses.
Failed and Repeated Courses
If you repeat a course, the highest of the 2 grades will be used in the admission average calculation, if applicable.
Timing and Process for Admission Decisions
For full-time enrollment in September, Trent University expects to send offers of admission on an ongoing basis starting in January. You must have completed or be registered in six 4U/M courses. Admission decisions will be made using grades from a minimum of 3 final 4U/M courses if you are in a semestered school, or 6 interim 4U/M courses if you are in a non-semestered school. Grade 11 grades may be used to extend an early offer of admission when sufficient 4U/M grades are not available. All offers of admission are conditional pending the successful completion of all OSSD requirements and prerequisites with satisfactory academic standing.
Extenuating Circumstances
If you have experienced extenuating circumstances that may have affected your academic performance (e.g., your average is below 70%), you may submit a supplementary application.

Psychology at Trent Durham is the perfect fit for students who wish to develop a better understanding of how and why people act, think and feel the way they do. You will study the principles of psychology and a variety of specialized subjects ranging from personality, human development and abnormal psychology in your first 2 years, to advanced subjects such as gender, health, memory, dreams and dreaming, and atypical development studied in the latter half of your degree. Here, you can participate in research with leading experts in areas such as cognitive neuroscience, sexuality, dreams and dreaming, anxiety, health, development, mental health, language impairment, perception and memory.
