Granted to full-time undergraduate students admitted to a first-year program who demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to applicants who can demonstrate participation as a client in a recognized educational or charitable endeavour that seeks to assist high school students who are financially disadvantaged. In the event there are 2 equally qualified applicants, the applicant with the greatest demonstrable financial need will receive the award. Recipients who maintain an overall GPA of 6.0 in a full-time program, who meet all academic requirements for their program of registration, and who continue to demonstrate financial need, will receive a further award in each of their undergraduate years of study at Wilfrid Laurier University, up to a maximum of 4 years. The recipient must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident (landed immigrant) or protected person, and a long-term resident of Ontario.

This is an endowed award, established through the generosity of the Wilfrid Laurier University Faculty Association (WLUFA) and Wilfrid Laurier University, as well as colleagues and students.
