Available to a full-time undergraduate student entering year 1 and who is a resident of Kitchener or Waterloo. The recipient must have a minimum final average of 80% in his or her best 6 Grade 12 U/M courses. The recipient will demonstrate good academic achievement. The recipient will also have demonstrated leadership qualities and participation in school or community activities.

This is an endowed scholarship, established by Laurier to honour Mr. Dominic Cardillo, mayor of Kitchener from 1983 to 1994.
