Eligible candidates will be entering full-time studies in Year 1 of the Honours Public Health program directly from secondary school. Candidates must demonstrate significant involvement in extracurricular activities or volunteer work during secondary school, beyond that required for academic progression.
Candidates must be Canadian citizens and demonstrate financial need. The award may be renewable (depending on available funds) in Years 2, 3 and 4 of the same program, at the same level of full-time study, if the incumbent maintains a cumulative GPA of 9.0 (B).

This is an annual award; Walker Wood Foundation is a philanthropic organization dedicated mainly to the funding of scholarships and bursaries for postsecondary students across Canada. The Foundation created this award for students at Wilfrid Laurier University who are entering the Public Health program.
