The Lorimer Equal Chance Award

Granted to full-time undergraduate students admitted to a first-year program who demonstrate financial need.

Preference will be given to applicants who can demonstrate participation as a client in a recognized educational or charitable endeavour that seeks to assist high school students who are financially disadvantaged. In the event there are 2 equally qualified applicants, the applicant with the greatest demonstrable financial need will receive the award.

Recipients who maintain an overall GPA of 6.0 in a full-time program, who meet all academic requirements for their program of registration, and who continue to demonstrate financial need, will receive a further award in each of their undergraduate years of study at Wilfrid Laurier University, up to a maximum of 4 years.

The recipient must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident (landed immigrant) or protected person, and a long-term resident of Ontario.
